How to Install Guide

A replacement screen is easy to damage during fitting and hard to un-damage afterwards. This guide is the same notice we print on every box — follow it and your screen will test clean, install clean, and stay under warranty.

1. Test first, install last

This is the single most important habit, and it takes about two minutes:

  • On arrival, check the screen over for physical damage.
  • Disconnect the phone battery before anything else.
  • Connect the new screen to the motherboard — do not glue anything yet.
  • Power on and test: colours, brightness, touch response across the whole surface, lines or dead pixels.
  • Only when everything checks out, remove the protective film and complete the final assembly with adhesive.

A screen that has been glued in cannot be removed without damaging it, and it cannot be returned. Our warranty covers the part up to the moment it is installed.

2. Handling rules

  • Clean the flex cable connector with alcohol before installation and confirm it is well connected.
  • Never pull, tear or press on the flex cable.
  • Tap and press the screen gently — the panel is fragile.
  • If you are not experienced with screen replacement, have a professional or repair shop do the fitting.

3. The official notice (as printed on every box)

Notice: Clean the flex cable with alcohol before installation and confirm that it is well connected. Do not pull, tear or push on the flex cable, be careful during installation. Before installing the screen, please remove the battery in advance. Please tap the screen carefully, because the screen is too fragile to damage.

1. Each part is already double tested before shipping and works well.
2. After receiving the part, please check the appearance and test it first. Do not install it directly. You need to connect the new part to the motherboard for functional testing first; if all tests are OK, then do a professional install.
3. All repair parts are fragile and easily broken or work improperly from installation mistakes. If you are not good at replacing the part, please have it done by a professional person or repair shop.
4. We are not responsible for any installation mistakes. Any unprofessional installation or mistake is likely to cause product damage and functional issues.
5. Warranty period: the warranty for the part is valid until it is installed (pasted) in your device. We will no longer provide warranty for any issues arising after the product is installed.

4. What usually goes wrong

Most screens reported as “faulty” are not faulty at all. These are the four common causes:

  • The battery was not disconnected before fitting — live operation can kill the touch function
  • The flex connector was not fully clicked into place, or was not aligned first
  • The screen was pressed or squeezed during assembly, damaging the panel inside
  • A fault in the phone’s own mainboard, not the new screen

If the screen seems dead, disconnect the battery, re-seat every connector until it clicks, clean the contacts with alcohol, and test again outside the frame before any adhesive is applied. That solves most cases.
